Key West Mallory Square at Sunset

Key West Mallory Square at Sunset is free daily Florida fun on steroids! Mallory Square is the heart of Old Town Key West. It’s located at the very end of historic Duval Street. Each night at sunset, a gathering occurs no matter what day or time of year.

Street performers, many of whom have performed here for many years, show up and claim their space on the Square and give one fantastic performance after another. There are street vendors selling food, drinks, art and jewelry. There are bars, restaurants, shops and hotels just steps from the Square. There are cats, a graveyard and the Key West Aquarium. What other place on Earth crams this much fun into such a historic and beautiful spot on an island overlooking gorgeous sunsets every evening of the year?

Entertainment, food, drinks, art, shopping all appear almost out of nowhere on Mallory Square just all overlooking Key West Harbor.  It’s family friendly fun, and there’s plenty of it for everyone!

Key West Mallory Square at Sunset Must Visit Florida

To enjoy Key West Mallory Square at Sunset...

Walk, ride bike or scooter down Duval Street to the end. You can drive but you’ll need to find a public parking lot or garage with space, and you’ll still need to walk a bit to get to the Square.

Historic Duval Street

Duval Street is the central street of fun where you’ll discover the world’s smallest bar, tons more bars, bars where the great author Hemingway socialized, and even more bars.

On Duval Street, there’s tons of shopping, an awesome cookie shop (our favorite) that makes THE biggest best cookies ever. And there’s every type of restaurant and food you can think of, including a Hard Rock to a Wendy’s, fresh seafood and snacks and candlelight dinners. And during the day, there are plenty of street vendors selling art and jewelry.

Right next to Mallory Square is the Key West Aquarium, Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, the super fun Key West Ghost Tour and trolley tours, and so much more. We recommend spending at least two nights, three days in Key West or you’ll regret it! So much to do and see.

Key West Mallory Square at Sunset Parking Tips...

If you like walking, walk!  Parking on the street is nearly impossible. There are a few parking lots and garages   bbut most are still a walk away. The walk is fantastic, do it. But if you can’t, bike! There are plenty of bikes to rent throughout Key West, and plenty of places to park them. Don’t want to walk OR bike?  Mopeds, scooters, motorcycles and roller blades are also great ways to get around the island without having to stress out over possible parking challenges.

Make sure when you’re visiting Key West, to visit the Key West Truman Annex. There’s an Eco-Discovery Center, Fort Zachary Taylor historical landmark and beautiful beach plus nature trails and the Key West Truman Annex NAS (for all you military folks!).
