Florida Festivals and Events happen throughout the year including fairs, corn mazes and pumpkin patches, boat parades and Christmas tree farms… there’s so much to add to your Florida Calendar of Fun!
Note: we consider our Florida Fall season to be “September and October” and our Florida Winter season to be “November through February”.
Florida Film Festivals
Florida is home to some highly-anticipated annual film festivals along with lots of small and medium sized events, all inspiring and awarding up and coming filmmakers in lots of genres including film, animation, documentaries and more. Florida Fishing, Seafood and Hunting by Season
Florida is home to some of the best fishing and hunting opportunities anywhere. Consider adding some fishing, hunting, shrimping or stone-crab-clawing to your Florida Calendar of Fun!
If you have kids, consider a morning of Florida pier fishing then enjoying the beach to cool off and enjoy the waves. Or grab a net and head to the Keys, strap on some headlamps for some night shrimping! These are memories your kids won’t forget!
Stone crab “claw” season begins mid-October of each year, which allows the harvesting of claws to eat but requires the live crab to be returned to the water where the claw will regrow. Click to get more tips!

There’s an “alligator hunting season” from mid-August to early November, but it’s strictly regulated and you need to apply licensing before August… so plan ahead.
