Where is Cassadaga Florida?

Cassadaga is in the area of Lake Helen. It’s a quaint little town located about 30 minutes north of Orlando and 30 minutes east of New Smyrna Beach.

The southern part of Lake Helen is typically called “Cassadaga”, which is where the Cassadaga Spiritual Camp and most of the town’s psychics live.

It’s easy to find, but because it’s such a small town, it’s often a place people drive past without stopping!

Why Visit Cassadaga

Cassadaga has been a haven for spiritual seekers for over a century. Established in 1894 by Spiritualist George Colby, this unique community of psychics consists of healers, mediums, astrologists etc. all offering assistance for those seeking the help.

This is a community of spiritualists, and there is sometimes a misconception that this includes elements of the occult (witches, devil, spells etc.) which is NOT what they believe in.

More Things to Do in Cassadaga

Devil's Chair Cassadaga - the Legend

LOCAL LEGEND —leave a cold, unopened beer can on the Devil’s Chair’s arm. If you’re attuned to the supernatural, you’ll find it unopened and EMPTY by dawn!

Another legend is that finding the right brick chair (there are several) and sitting in it, you may hear the voice of the Devil himself.

There are many versions of these legends, and they continue to develop over time and as the amount of visitors to the Cassadaga Cemetery grows.

Visit the Lake Helen Cemetery for graves dating back to the 1800s. Look for red brick chairs. Find the right one and you just might open a line of communication with the Devil himself!

It’s local legend, and you’ll learn more about it when you take the “Cassadaga After Dark: Find the Spirits Tour”

Note: the psychic community of Cassadaga do NOT believe in this legend! It was created as a backstory, it’s fun, and it’s not real. Think about it… a cold unopened beer sitting out? Someone’s gonna drink it! Clearly this is a myth made up by Florida Man!

Also, most spiritualists that live and practice in Cassadaga don’t believe in the Devil or practice anything having to do with the occult.
